These tournaments saw some well-known teams take part in it. Global Esports, Team Soul, 8bit, and Entity Gaming were seen in the matches that engaged a lot of audience.

Here are the tournaments that took the audience by storm in 2023. These tournaments had the whole country glued to their screens and the biggest names in the BGMI community competed against each other. 

BGMI Masters Series Season 2

BGMI Masters Series Season 2

BGMI Masters Series Season 2 concluded on August 27, 2024, with Gladiators Esports winning the title and the lion’s share of the prize pool, Rs 1 crore. This event was streamed on Rooter and was a LAN event that took place without the presence of a live audience. Justin from Gladiators Esports won the MVP title and got Rs 1,20,000.

Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023

This was one of the two official events that have taken place in the country. This was the only one that Gladiators Esports, which is led by Destro. This event had a prize pool of Rs 2 crore and Gladiators Esports won the lion’s share of Rs 75, 00,000. DeltaPG from the winning squad was named the MVP of the event and won Rs 4,00,000.

Upthrust Esports Diwali Battle 2023

Upthrust Esports Diwali Battle 2023

The third event on this list is the Upthrust Esports Diwali Battle 2023. This was one of the new LAN events that took place with the presence of an audience. This event was won by Entity Gaming. The event had a prize pool of Rs 35 lakh and Rs 5 lakh of that was allotted for the semi-finals. NinjaBoi was named as the semi-finals MVP.

India – Korea Invitational

India - Korea Invitational

This invitational saw teams from India and Korea compete against each other. The top 8 teams from Korea were invited to compete against the top 8 teams from BGIS 2023. This event saw Dplus win the event and take home Rs 40 lakh out of the Rs 1 crore prize pool. The MVP of this event was Nolbu from Dplus. 

ESL Snapdragon Pro Series: BGMI

ESL Snapdragon Pro Series: BGMI

Last on this list is ESL Snapdragon Pro Series: BGMI. Entity Gaming won this event and walked away with Rs 28,17,500. The MVP of the event was AKop from Orangutan and he won Rs 50,000 for himself. Team SouL was placed second in this event and took home Rs 11, 97,500.
